Proudly supported by Fujifilm, our Foto Walks will inspire you with a new outlook on capturing the places and sites around you.

See the Ballarat General Cemetery in a new light. Guided by local professional photographer, Angela Hayward, our Cemetery Foto Walks provide a unique opportunity to learn photographic tips and tricks while capturing the stunning cemetery surrounds by twilight.

Experience the cemetery anew as you are led through this unique location which is also home to one of the Biennale’s group exhibitions, Say it with Flowers. Participants of all ages, abilities and levels of experience will learn the art of photography while exploring the cemetery by dusk. Angela Hayward will offer her photographic knowledge, guiding you on how best to capture the historic landmarks and stunning sites of our unique city.

Participants will meet at the entrance of Ballarat General Cemetery and are required to bring a camera or phone. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes for walking. The walks will run for approximately one hour.

“It wasn’t only a chance to learn about taking pictures… in anything like this you always learn something new.” – Foto Walk Participant

Walks are subject to extreme weather conditions and minimum booking requirements. You may purchase tickets up to 24 hours before the event time. Foto Walks are proudly supported by Fujifilm.
