Golden Hour Games launches September 2026
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is dealing something new this September. A relaxed evening of gin rummy, friendly faces and fundraising at one of Ballarat’s most beloved venues.
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is pleased to announce Golden Hour Games, a new fundraising initiative bringing together community supporters and photography lovers for a warm and sociable evening at the Old Colonists’ Club.
Golden Hour Games: Gin Rummy Edition will be held on Friday 11 September at the Old Colonists’ Club, Lydiard Street North, Ballarat. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the first game beginning at 6:30 pm sharp.
The evening is built around a round-robin gin rummy format. This means you’ll get to sit across the table from a range of different people throughout the night, making Golden Hour Games as much about good conversation and new connections as it is about the cards. Think of it as a very enjoyable reason to spend a Friday evening with like-minded people in a beautiful Ballarat setting.
No gin rummy experience is needed. Rules will be explained on arrival and a Tournament Director is on hand all evening to answer questions and keep things moving. Whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up the rules for the first time, you’ll feel right at home.
Tickets are $26 per person and include light refreshments and a welcome drink on arrival. Spectators are warmly welcome too, with proceeds from every ticket sold going directly towards supporting the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, whether you’re playing or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
Places are limited and expected to fill quickly. Tickets are available now – book your place here.
