As photographers and friends for over 30 years, Werner Hammerstingl and Mimmalisa Trifilò have collaborated on this project since March 2020, just before COVID-19 lockdowns in Melbourne. The project began with the premise of responding to each other’s photographic images and text via email. It has since become more complex with additional provocations being considered along with the other modes of expression.
This ongoing project consists of 118 images to date that shift from personal portrayals, vignettes and storytelling to reflections on photography as a vehicle for ideas, thoughts and feelings.
