FLORIOGRAPHY

Kylie Supski

In FLORIOGRAPHY, photographer Kylie Supski explores the idea of nature as a silent storyteller—where flowers act as metaphors, and each bloom carries a meaning beyond its petals.

This immersive projection-based show reframes photography as a way of expressing felt experiences, rather than simply capturing memories. Inspired by the belief that nature speaks in its own poetic language, Supski’s work invites viewers to see flowers as verses in an ongoing, wordless dialogue between nature and its observers.

Structured into twelve movements, FLORIOGRAPHY presents floral portraits gathered over years of careful observation. Each chapter features a distinct species or pairing—lily, dahlia, sunflower, cactus, and more—brought to life through large-scale projections accompanied by an original ambient soundtrack which was created natively in Virtual Reality by ReVerse Butcher. The audio and visuals intertwine, forming a shifting, audio-reactive landscape where color, light, and sound pulse together.

Alongside the projection, Supski exhibits 24 original photographs, each paired with a short poem—a personal reflection on the emotional resonance of each flower.

The images have been captured using a Canon EOS R digital camera, and have been carefully animated using Adobe After Effects. Supski’s unique creative process honors the craft of photography, while embracing new media forms of expression. No AI was used to create these images.

FLORIOGRAPHY is a sensory garden—an invitation to slow down and experience the quiet poetry of nature through light, sound, and image.
