In a time where attention is a dwindling resource, Existence in Small Print invites viewers to linger and notice the routine, the overlooked, the uncelebrated. I seek to offer a contemplative counterpoint to the world of immediacy and distraction by inviting viewers to look analytically at what is often ignored; everyday moments that seem trivial observations yet carry weight and evoke authenticity.
Observe the quiet persistence of the mundane. It is not dismissed, rather it is noted for its simplicity, elevated, and even revered. Substance can be sought and found not only in the extraordinary moments of life but also in the margins. There is no crescendo in this exhibition and no narrative arc.
I offer these pieces not as art, but as evidence that life in all its mundanity is worthy of our attention. The images are not moments of spectacle rather quiet, observational, and present. These images are stumbled upon in the machinations of daily life, they are not staged, opportunistically shot in natural light, a record of the ordinary, noted and made visible.
