Biennale Opening Wednesday 15 September

Following the recent easing of restrictions in regional Victoria, we are thrilled to announce the Ballarat International Foto Biennale will now open to regional audiences from this Wednesday 15 September.

The Biennale will be operating under significantly reduced capacity restrictions. We highly recommended booking your festival tickets in advance.

While the Biennale will be open to regional Victorian audiences, ticket holders who are unable to attend due to lockdown in metropolitan Melbourne or elsewhere will be able to reschedule tickets to a later date during the Biennale, and full refunds are also available.

We very much look forward to welcoming visitors from regional Victoria soon. A world of photographic art awaits.

Festival Extended Until Jan 2022

It is with great joy that we announce the Ballarat International Foto Biennale will be extended until 9 January 2022. When restrictions permit, the Biennale looks forward to welcoming visitors from metropolitan Melbourne and beyond.

With more exhibitions and artists than ever before, the 2021 Biennale is not one to be missed. Transforming every corner of Ballarat with photographic art, we invite you to book in for a single day or three-day Festival Pass and escape into the world of art and culture throughout the city.

All Festival Passes include a ticketed entry to the Linda McCartney: Retrospective exhibition, featuring more than 200 extraordinary photographs, including images of the McCartney family, the 1960s music scene, and a series of prints from the McCartney’s time to Australia between 1975 and 1993 which have never been shown before.
