How to Book Tickets

Tickets are available online, simply click on BUY TICKETS at the top of this page. Choose a single day ticket, a 3-day ticket or a season pass ticket to add to your cart, follow the prompts and then checkout.

To purchase your ticket in person, visit the BIFB Box Office at the Festival Hub 12 Lydiard Street North, Ballarat between 26 August — 22 October 2023.

Digital Tickets

As part of our sustainability and COVID-Safe practices, we issue digital tickets via email. An automatic confirmation of your ticket will be sent by email. If you have any questions or concerns you can get in touch with the team via email info@ballaratfoto.org

Refunds and Exchanges and Replacements

Unfortunately, it’s not possible for BIFB to refund completed bookings, except as required by law or as detailed in our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Fees and Charges

Ticket prices for events listed on this website are inclusive of GST and credit card charges. Prices are subject to change. Ticket prices may be adjusted, either up or down, based on market demand and without notice.

We operate as a cashless event. Please bring a credit or debit card for tickets, merchandise, and membership purchases.

Concession

If you hold any of the following, you’re eligible for a concession-priced ticket. We offer concession price tickets to many events. Please come prepared to show your proof of concession with your ticket at the venue: • Full-time students (including international students) • Pensioners • Seniors (including Victorian Carer Card holders) • Health Care Card holders

Companion card

Q. Where can I get a printed Festival Guide?

A. This year, we will be charging a small cost of $5.00 for our festival guide to help with the enormous cost of delivering the festival and you will be able to purchase the guide from the Festival Hub shop in the Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard St North.

Q. Where are the Core Program venues?

A. The Core Program venues open from 10am daily, every day. A Festival Pass is required to visit the Core Program venues. The Core Program venues are the BAaD Gallery & Events (737 Sturt Street), Town Hall (225 Sturt Street), Post Office Gallery (cnr Sturt and Lydiard Street North), Ballarat Mining Exchange (12 Lydiard Street North), 43 Lydiard Street North (vacant building), 52 Lydiard Street North (vacant shop) and the Art Gallery of Ballarat (40 Lydiard Street North).

Q. What time does the festival operate?

A. The Core Program venues open from 10am daily, every day. Outdoor Program public art is open 24/7. Open Program venues have various opening hours and these are noted in the Festival Guide and on the website.

Q. What is included in my festival pass?

A. Festival passes allow entry to all exhibitions in the core program, forums, awards presentations and screenings including the headline exhibition ‘People Power- Platon’ at the Art Gallery Ballarat. For more details see ‘What is included in my Festival Pass?

Q. Can I exchange my ticket if I need to change my booking?

A. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to refund completed bookings, except as required by law or as detailed in our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Q. Why haven’t I received my confirmation email?

A. You may have entered your email address incorrectly at checkout or the confirmation email could be in a spam or junk folder. Please email us with any order information you have and our team will investigate for you.

Q. When will I get my ticket?

A. Your digital tickets will be sent immediately to the email address you book with, so make sure it’s one you regularly check and can access on the go. The confirmation email you receive after you complete your order means your place is secured.

Q. Can I get a printed ticket posted to me?

A. As part of our sustainability and COVID-Safe practices, we don’t post tickets. Digital tickets replace the supply of any printed tickets and an automatic confirmation with your ticket will be sent by email. If you’re unable to access digital tickets, you can contact us at info@ballaratfoto.org. Alternatively, you can call us on (03) 5331 4833.

Q. Can I book in person?

A. Tickets can be purchased in person from the Festival Hub, at the Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard Street North. The Festival Hub will be open from 26 August to 22 October between 9:30am-5pm.
