Join Heather Horrocks, Karenne Ann and Marg Dobson as they discuss Picture Her, their collaboration, and the work and life of 1920’s Ballarat photographer Daisy Harriet Llewelyn.
A hand colourist and portrait photographer, Daisy Harriet Llewelyn’s glass plate negatives were found in a shed. From the trail of discovery to identifying Daisy, to her now occupying centre stage, the talk will highlight the joys and inspiration of honouring our women artists.
Marg Dobson, Writer and Performer
Marg’s experience in theatre, cabaret and street theatre at Arts Festivals and Fringe Festivals often includes mixing genres of live performance to make assessable and interactive adventures for audiences. From community and environmental theatre, The Teabags Marching Band, solo shows in Fringe Festivals, to cabaret with The Romanoffs and projects in Ballarat like the Women of the Goldfields performed in 2014. Her writing and performing work is often inspired by researching to uncover ‘untold stories’ and using comedy and music to bring those stories to life, acknowledging the unacknowledged.
