A modern anthropologist, hear directly from Erik Kessels in this live event, discussing his exhibition 24HRS in Photos, his great interest in vernacular photography, and wealth of experience in design and publishing.
Erik Kessels is a Dutch artist, designer and curator with great interest in photography. Since 1996, Kessels is Creative Partner of communications agency KesselsKramer in Amsterdam and London. As an artist and curator Kessels has published over 75 books of his ‘re-appropriated’ images and has written the international bestseller Failed It! Kessels made and curated exhibitions such as Loving Your Pictures, Mother Nature, 24HRS in Photos, Album Beauty, Unfinished Father and GroupShow. His mid-career retrospective was shown in Turin, Düsseldorf, Budapest and he exhibited this year in the SFMOMA.

San San is a design director who seeks to serve, collaborate and lead influential businesses and organisations, with a common goal to add value to society by realising the full potential of creativity, art, technology, empathy and design thinking. Her active involvement as Co-Chair of AGDA VIC Council takes her on a fascinating journey into the possible trends and opportunities for the future of design. Her love of photography started from picking up her father’s old Cannon film SLR, to her photography is a way for her see and show the world in varying perspectives and often uses this skill in art direction of her work.
