What began as a road trip searching for the ruins of the artist’s great-great-grandparents’ flour mill became a project to document the grain silos of Australia through the heartlands of Victoria and NSW, where it was often a centre of local seasonal life.
Michael Wolfe is a painter, photographer, designer and pretty handy aerial gymnast, who enjoys making pictures and has been doing it fairly seriously for most of his adult life. He has worked as an artist, designer, art director and picture framer, and lives in Castlemaine Victoria. Wolfe has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally, and his work is included in public, corporate and private collections.
