Beauty in black and white photography is about detail and contrast. In Monochrome, the image of a neon M at night and suburban streetscapes drenched in light embody contrast. Created with ultra-low ISO on medium format black and white film, these images are full of contrast and subtle, hidden details.
A range of life experiences have shaped the way I see the world and make pictures. Focusing on identity and belonging, incorporating documentary and street photography influences, I photograph with many types of cameras and film, from instant cameras, medium format masterpieces to digital models, each a tool with a specific use.
