Australians believe that people who seek refuge are from over there, but what would you do if you had to flee your home? This installation features photos of everyday Australians printed on metal discs and floated on Lake Wendouree, with a reflective metal boat creating a mirror to those viewing the artwork.

Kim Percy has exhibited for over 25 years, featuring in Head On, the Biennale of Australian Art, Lorne Sculpture Biennale and Ballarat International Foto Biennale. She has exhibited in New York and Los Angeles, and has been a finalist in many awards, including the Bowness Prize. Percy teaches photography, design and digital art at Federation University, and runs a design studio in Daylesford.
