The exhibition explores Solastalgia, a term that relates to the grief felt around climate change. With the imminent loss of the natural environment, the images parallel this with the idea of photography as a copy of the real, of a certain moment that will never be again.
Isabel O’Brien is a photographic artist with a Degree in Sculpture and a Masters of Art in Public Space. She has exhibited throughout Australia and overseas. Incorporating these different mediums into her practice, she explores themes around photography as a representation of the real and how it is changed when shown in new spaces or contexts.
