Depicting people from different walks of life on the streets of his hometown, Hong Kong, the images are visual records of the artist’s people watching experiences. Made during the year of protests against the Extradition Bill and the National Security Law in Hong Kong, Chan’s pictures reveal another aspect of the city in a time of political and social unrest.


Born in 1992 in Hong Kong, Chan received a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, and an MFA from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2018. He currently lives and works in Hong Kong and Taichung City, Taiwan.
