Reimaginings presents the work of three creative photographic artists Gaye Beal, Lesley Bretherton, and Ralph Domino, who share an interest in conceptual photography. Each artist depicts people, places, nature and objects in their own way, resulting in images that are original colourful, abstract and at times, intriguing.
Biography, Gaye Beal
Melbourne-based photographer, Gaye Beal, has spent most of her life living close to Port Phillip Bay. Experimenting with camera motion and multiple exposures, Gaye blends the many moods of the sea and surroundings to create images of soft tones and textures that bring to mind remembrances of things past.
Biography, Lesley Bretherton
Lesley Bretherton is a Melbourne-based photographer and former clinical psychologist with a degree in Fine Arts. Her passion is the natural world of landscape photography and still life. Using everyday flora and natural light, her minimalist approach is expressed through a muted colour palette.
Biography, Ralph Domino
Photographer and architect, Ralph Domino loves to explore the conceptual realm. Drawing on his architectural work and travel experiences, he uses the ordinary to create images that can be abstract, colourful, enchanting and sometimes confronting. Ralph has received awards and recognition for his originality and technique.
